Intro
At the westernmost end of the enormous Valles Marineris canyon system lies the ruptured landscape known as Noctis Labyrinthus. As the name implies, it is a labyrinth of interconnected canyons that probably results from faulting, collapse, and landslides.
Some parts of the regions of Noctis Labyrinthus have light-toned layered deposits rich in jarosite, a mineral suggesting acidic and oxidizing conditions, as well as a mantle of darker material, potentially from atmospheric dust or volcanic ash. In Noctis Labyrinthus, you'll encounter rugged sand dunes and rocky terrain. We provide off-road vehicles that allow you to explore this pristine landscape at your own pace!
